Even more disturbing: thirty-two per cent of these people happen to be children! Two hundred fifty-six thousand kids a year are dependant on the help and assistance the Food banks provide.

These stats are not valid only on the holidays: They are every single day of the year! It is true that there are numerous people in this country who are "working-poor". They have jobs in the workforce that refuse to pay a decent enough wage to live on. Those commercials you see on television are true. They can either have a roof over their heads, or food in their stomachs.

Most people who use the foodbank are NOT homeless, are NOT lazy, and work very hard for that $1300 a month...

Canadian All-Pro Wrestling started with all of this in mind. Back in 2009, when C.A.W. was first put together, it was done with the plan to do what we can to assist the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank stay stocked not just on the holidays, but year-round. doing what we can to help those less fortunate.

When you attend our shows, we ask for a food item for donation. For as little as $0.89 for a can of corn, you can help tremendously to give those who need it a hand-up. this is NOT a hand-out: Many Food Bank useers go on to find adequate-paying jobs, and never forget the help they received when they needed it.
